About Us

For we are what God has made us, created in Christ Jesus for good works,
which God prepared beforehand to be our way of life.

Ephesians 2:10

Our Purpose

• To proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ
• To worship God
• To serve humanity through appropriate ministries
in the context of a caring body of believers

Our vision

We want to see CMC as an inspiring and dynamic, actively engaged congregation. The two statements below act as a starting place for us to not only think about who we are as the church but also to carry out and act as an actively inspiring church.

1. Mennonite Church Canada Vision Statement: God calls us to be followers of Jesus Christ and, by the power of the Holy Spirit to grow as communities of grace, joy, and peace so that God’s healing and hope flow through us to the world.

2. We celebrate and affirm all persons worshiping with us. Together we seek to be a pilgrim community of mission, service, hospitality, grace, healing, justice, peace, and love.

Our History

Charleswood Mennonite Church was started in 1963 by a group of 31 charter members. Presently we have about 300 members.

Over the years we have been involved in various ministries including refugee sponsorship, inner city ministries, thrift store ministries and cross cultural ministries. We are an historic peace church, seeking to follow Jesus, the Prince of Peace.

We are part of Mennonite Church Manitoba. We are an intergenerational church representing a good balance of all generations.
